Thank You

After over five years of serving us beer, listening to our ramblings of Tues/Thurs Nighter exploits, dealing with Australians and holding our hair back and/or patting our back as we visited the alley after one too many (ahem), the lovely Rose is moving on.

Thank you for putting up with us and for all the fun!

We are sending her off with one final 'team meeting' at the Whip on Tuesday.  Truly, the hostess with the mostest.

Mighty Club Rides

Just a reminder that racing starts in March and that leaves you with 6 (or so) Mighty Sunday rides to get out and find some racing legs.  The group has been large enough this year that there should be a ride continuing once the racing starts.

We leave Sunday's from Our Town Cafe at 9:30 - show up earlier if you want coffee and BS.

The ride is an ez no-drop first 1.5 hour loop of Richmond with a sprint out at Iona.  We then re-group and head back into Vancouver for some tempo around the UBC point with another sprint.  The ride is open to all and a good way to get to know the club if you are interested in buying us beer joining.

Open to all.  Last Sunday we met T-Shirt Version 3.0...

New Year's Resolutions

For 2013, my resolution was to do more volunteer work with the Special Needs - Handicapped community.  The smile on their faces is reward enough...

One is Australian.  Nuff said.  The other has a rare case of 'Team Identity Disorder'.  Sad cases.  Luckily both conditions can be treated with these.

Ladies and Gentlemen...

...Nick Berry.  Behind the legend is a recovery bath, a good dog, some kale and a partner with a camera.

Burnaby Four Day

The Mighty kids were at it indoors between Xmas and New Years for some fast racing at the Velodrome.  Fields were stacked with out of towners and pro sprinter Tyler Farrar as well as the Canadian Women Pursuiters.  It's not every day you get to race Olympic medalists...

For full Results see the Burnaby Velodrome site.  Big thanks to Doug Brons for the excellent photos.

Jen Gerth raced the Men's C group and Women's Madison.
Claire was reppin' in the Men's B group and finished 2nd overall in the Women's Madison.
Ryan was confused at the sub 500km distance but was attacking the Men's B gourp.
Mighty Riders staying fast and dry in the winter.
